No Need to Panic about Global Warming

Introduction

Within the diverse knowledge of the universe, the heaty debated topic of climate change has found a middle ground for controversial argument. Most importantly, it is of great concern that humans live harmoniously with their world for sustainability and a better future for generations to come.    While the central argument on global warming has been considered scientifically correct, it emerges that the converse may be true. Thus examining this article leaves the reader satisfied that the logic behind the contrary can also be true.  The author of this article, therefore, has demystified scientific misconceptions on climate change and opened a new dimension of examining global warming from a scientific and economic view.

Context

This article lays the ground for contrarian view on climate change with a focal point on disapproving the scientifically accepted phenomena of climate change. The author argues that climate change should not be of great concern since, in essence, it’s inconsistent with facts and rather is an allure by businesses to profit from manipulating political systems. This, in essence, serves as a justification for increased taxation.   The issues of global warming find great relevance in the current world when scientific reports have signaled a rather warming planet with dire consequences. It thus directly reflects the very sustainability of this world and emerges as a human fault resulting from the destruction of the planet earth.  The author tackles this topic in the context of the United States government to prioritize funds for global warming justifying the economic waste of such an approach that should be avoided.

Body

The author exemplifies high reasoning behind the argument that global warming is of little concern.  Indeed, the article is of greater validity having been signed by 16 scientists.  Largely, he notes that no knowledge should be incontrovertible, an attribute that has seen the ground from historical data.  It would, therefore, be wrong to consider anything incontrovertible given that scientist’s argument on climate change is based on highly exaggerated computer models.  Citing the past 10 years where no significant global warming has been witnessed challenges the UN intergovernmental panel on climate change predictions (WSJ).  Indeed, factual data can only be relied on in this case since computer models may not perfectly simulate the functioning of the universe.

The author notes that CO2 is not a pollutant, a concept he scientifically backs. While it emerges that CO2 has a great advantage towards the evolution and growth of plants, he fails to examine the many dimensions CO2 may affect our planet. Still, he proves that the existent of higher CO2 concentration in historical times, a justification of the CO2 concentration cycles as a natural phenomenon rather than a human activity induced phenomena.

The fear surrounding scholars with a contrarian view on climate change emerges as a critical concern towards bringing facts to the limelight (Ytterstad 11). There are instances where scientists with contrarian views may fail to speak for fear of lacking promotion or losing their jobs.  Indeed, it signifies the one-sided face of the government when it comes to accepting facts. Based on this justification, I am convinced that most people hold such views but lack the platform to let their perceptions and justifications known. Alarmism of climate change is largely inclined to economic benefit (WSJ). Just as the author finds that   the gains to be made with this rhetoric are massive, it emerges as a great motivation for players to push for more adoption of the concept

Conclusion

This article has delved on diverse reasoning to cast odds against the perceptions of alarm over climate change.  Under the facts stated herein, it emerges that contrarian reasoning has been largely subdued and thus empowering such reasoning could bring facts to the table.  While scientific knowledge may be held in high esteem, the perceived knowledge on climate change is not incontrovertible.  Therefore, this author has laid a factual basis for viewing climate change contrary to significant opinion.
